Logging Packages with PackageAhoy

After the initial setup has been completed, you can start logging packages for your facility using the following steps:

  1. When the first package of the day is logged, a new batch is created, which contains all the information for the series of packages you will be entering.
  2. Once all the packages in the batch have been logged, you must close the batch. This is the point in the process where emails get sent to all the package recipients.
    • If you have more than one pick-up facility, a separate process (receiving batch) will determine when the email notifications are sent.
  3. Once the package recipient gets to your pick-up facility, they are located in the system by their mailbox number, and all the packages they have which are available for pick up will be displayed on the screen. The attendent then would retrieve the package(s), and then mark them as picked up in the system.
